Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
~Deuteronomy 31:6, English Standard Version
Strength: it’s being alone when the doctor tells me it’s cancer. It’s withholding the truth because he’s on deployment and has to keep his head in the game and I know lives are depending on him. It’s facing a battery of testing and choking back tears because he’s not by my side. It’s understanding that he is serving a cause greater than himself and he has dedicated more than half his life to see the mission through. It’s walking into that test with my head held high and knowing that he is thinking of me and wishing he could be by my side but his country needs him.
It’s understanding that he is serving a cause greater than himself and he has dedicated more than half his life to see the mission through.
I think being an Army wife can be the most challenging calling in the world, especially when mine is falling apart.
